A family run restaurant passionately bringing Knaresborough a taste of Italy.  Vomero brings together an authentic Neapolitan delicatessen by day and a warm, welcoming Italian restaurant by night — all under one roof.

The Deli | Open 12pm – 3pm

Pop in for a proper Italian lunch. The deli counter is piled high with freshly sliced cured meats and cheeses, ready to be packed into warm paninis. Try the Panino Calabria with spicy 'nduja and burrata, or go classic with Parma ham and buffalo mozzarella in the Panino Padano.

Don't miss the Neapolitan street food specialities — the Pizza Portafoglio, a folded Neapolitan-style pizza, or the Cuoppo Fritto, a paper cone piled with crispy arancini and zeppoline. Or if you are looking for a lighter option, they serve a daily changing Zuppa del Giorno (soup of the day) and a range of hearty Italian salads, from the classic Caprese to their signature Insalata Panarea with grilled salmon.

The Restaurant | Open 5:30pm – 9:30pm

As evening falls, Vomero transforms into a full Italian dining experience. Start with something to share — burrata with confit cherry tomatoes, crispy calamari fritti, or their homemade Polpette Nonna Lia, slow-simmered meatballs in San Marzano tomato sauce.

For mains, try their Spaghetti Zucchine e Gamberi, king prawns and tender julienne courgettes tossed in a light white wine and garlic sauce, or the ever-popular Lasagne, layered with slow-cooked beef ragù and creamy béchamel. Seafood lovers should look no further than the Sciallatielli Marechiaro, fresh pasta with king prawns, mussels, clams and Calabrian chilli, while the Gnocchi Sorrentina, baked in a rich Neapolitan sauce with mozzarella and basil, is a firm favourite for something comforting.

Whatever you choose, expect homemade recipes and that unmistakable warmth of true Italian hospitality.
